Responsibility

Responsibility for us means practical actions: safety, reliability, and long-lasting solutions. We develop and deliver solutions that help prevent damage in advance and minimise its consequences for people, the environment, and society.

We describe our sustainability work in line with EU-recommended frameworks, including the VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs), and structure it using the ESG framework (E, S, G). Our reporting is voluntary and based on an open and transparent description of our practices, choices, and development directions.

Responsibility in brief

Long product life cycle: our products are designed to be durable and serviceable.
Domestic manufacturing: our devices are manufactured and assembled in Finland using high-quality components.
Preventive safety: our solutions reduce risks before they materialise.
Responsible partnerships: long-term supplier and partner relationships support quality and transparency.
Producer responsibility: we fulfil our recycling obligations and are members of Suomen Pakkaustuottaja ry and SELT ry.

E – Environmental

We have identified the key environmental impacts of our operations, primarily related to energy use, logistics, and procurement. The heating of our facilities is based on geothermal energy with waste heat recovery, reducing emissions from energy consumption.

In procurement, we prioritise domestic sourcing and long-term partnerships.
Examples include:

Our wildfire suppression solution is manufactured in Finland by Kiilto, which is committed to the Science-Based Targets initiative.
Our insulation monitoring systems are manufactured in Finland, with assembly and final inspection carried out at our own facilities.

Logistics and travel are planned carefully, and remote connections are used whenever possible. The objective is to minimise unnecessary travel and operate in a purposeful manner, taking the nature of our activities into account.

Carbon footprint:
We have not yet prepared a comprehensive quantitative carbon footprint calculation. We approach the topic step by step in line with the VSME standard. We assess key emission sources, such as energy consumption and logistics, using indicative and fit-for-purpose evaluation methods as part of continuous improvement.

S – Social

Our social responsibility is based on safety, reliability, and long-term cooperation. Our safety-critical solutions improve operational reliability for our customers and reduce the risk of serious disruptions and damage.

Employee well-being is supported by a safe and pleasant working environment, flexible working arrangements, and a balanced workload.

We work in long-term partnerships with customers and partners in Finland and internationally. Trust, quality, and taking responsibility also after delivery are key principles in our operations.

G – Governance

Good governance is based on honest and transparent operations and a clear allocation of responsibilities. We comply with applicable legislation and act ethically in all our business activities. Safety and quality considerations are integral to our risk management.

We take responsibility for our products also after delivery and fulfil our recycling and producer responsibility obligations. We are members of Suomen Pakkaustuottajat ry and SELT ry.

Our tracking and monitoring solutions are also used in the collection and recycling of electrical and electronic waste, supporting proper material handling in Finland.
