PPO-Elektroniikka Oy specialises in safety technology for demanding environments. Founded in 1981, we design solutions that improve safety and help prevent or minimise damage in healthcare, infrastructure, and environmental protection applications.
Our origins in hospital safety
Our roots lie in hospital operating room safety. Since the early 1980s, our insulation monitoring solutions have contributed to significantly improved electrical safety in Finnish hospitals and helped establish practices that are still followed today.
MEV® Insulation Monitoring System
The MEV® Insulation Monitoring System has protected patients, staff, and equipment in Finnish hospitals for over four decades.
Today, the fifth-generation MEV-8 system is used by wellbeing services counties and private hospitals across Finland. It complies with all relevant international regulations and technical standards and is developed in close cooperation with hospital engineers.
